Bellator 114 and WSOF 9 Quick Predictions and Bets

This weekend features a couple mid-sized promotions running MMA events, Bellator 114: Shlemenko vs Ward goes down tomorrow (Friday) at 9pm ET on Spike TV while WSOF 9: Palhares vs Carl goes down Saturday at 9pm ET on NBCSN. By the way, if you haven’t checked out Reed Kuhn’s Fightnomics it is a must read for any UFC fan, or anyone interested in betting on UFC fights.

Shlemenko over Ward. Shlemenko should get his 50th win over his opponent who has just 10. Possibly by second or third round TKO. Under 1.5 rounds line is getting pretty high, but doubtful it hits so no bet.

Cooper over Grove. If Grove didn’t have UFC credentials, he would be a big dog here. Grove didn’t look impressive in his debut vs Joe Vedepo. Likely by decision. See parlay bets below.

Martinez over Green. Martinez was able to smother and control the very hyped up Goiti Yamauchi. There’s a good chance he is able to come away with the victory Friday night and at 2.85, there’s good value. 2 unit bet.

Weichel over Bessette. Bessette was given a gift in the form of a decision win over Diego Nunes. Not expecting it to happen again, Weichel should win a decision. No bet at current odds.

Martinez over Berto. No bet.

Wilcox over Fischer. No bet.

Jenkins over Powers. Dog or pass as the odds are getting stupid, but no bet from us.

Palhares vs Carl. Hard to predict how these two will match-up, but expect Palhares to come away with the win. Likely a dog or pass situation.

Moraes over Rettinghouse. Expect Moraes to win by submission in the first or second. If the under 2.5 rounds line gets much above even money, there would be value there.

Burkman over Stinson. Expecting Burkman to walk over Stinson. Parlayed him with Cooper from Bellator 114.

Okami over Savov. Okami will be looking to prove he still belongs in the UFC. Savov should be an easy first opponent. No bet as the line is juiced like crazy. Under line looks good though at 2.55. See bets below.

Corey over Kruchten. No bet at current odds.

Cooper(BFC 114)/Burkman(WSOF 9). 2 units at 2.14 to 1
Martinez over Green. 2 units at 2.85 to 1
Under 2.5 rounds Okami/Savov. 1 unit at 2.55
