UFC Fight Night 61: Bigfoot vs Mir will go down this Sunday night from Porto Alegre, Brazil. We’re here to bring you our free betting tip for the event which will be supplemented by at least 2 paid betting tips that will only be available on our Sellfy and CapperTek profiles. You can also get 30 days of our paid betting tips absolutely free by following these steps. In terms of our recent results, January was a solid month for us as we profited 6.91 units for an ROI of 15.02%. February has started with us in the green as well as we have a slight profit of 0.08 units heading into our third event with betting tips for the month. Our third party track record is maintained on CapperTek, but if you want a longer term track record, it is available on this site.
We will avoid betting on the main event assuming no dramatic line movements in favour of either Silva or Mir. Our free betting tip for this event will be a 2 leg parlay with the first leg featuring Edson Barboza. Barboza takes on Michael Johnson in the lightweight co-main event at Fight Night 61. He is a former professional kickboxer and has incredibly accurate and powerful striking. He is 15-2 overall and is 9-2 in the UFC. Johnson is 15-8 overall and 7-4 in the UFC. He is a former NJCAA wrestler who has also shown some pretty decent striking prowress in his MMA career. Our model favours Barboza to win this fight (obviously, or we wouldn’t have made him a parlay leg). We expect he’ll be able to keep the fight standing and we think he has the advantage on the feet. At 1.69 (-145), we think there’s a lot of value in either placing a straight bet on Barboza or adding him to a plus money parlay. We have decided to proceed with the latter.
As the second leg of our free parlay, we have Iuri Alcantara. Alcantara fights Frankie Saenz in a bantamweight bout which will be the second fight on the main card. Alcantara is presently a pretty big favourite, sitting at 1.27 (-375). With Alcantara being a big favourite of our model though, we still think there’s value in making a play. Both men likely don’t have too many good years left as they are both 34 years old and we have proven previously that 27-30 tends to be when lower weight class fighters are at their best. Still, since both are the same age it likely doesn’t favour either fighter. Overall, Alcantara is 31-5 (1) and 6-2 (1) in the UFC although he should be 7-2 as the no contest was really just Pedro Nobre pretending to be injured. Since 2013, Alcantara has only lost to Urijah Faber and he is currently riding a 3 fight win streak. His opponent, Saenz is 9-2 overall and will be fighting in the UFC for the second time after defeating Nolan Ticman via unanimous decision in his debut. We expect Alcantara will cruise to a unanimous decision on Sunday. That’s why we made him the second leg of our free parlay.
