It will be a busy weekend of MMA action with both Bellator 134: Newton vs McGeary, Invicta FC 11: Cyborg vs Tweet on Friday night and UFC 184: Rousey vs Zingano on Saturday. (Think Cyborg ended up fighting the day before Rousey by accident? That seems highly unlikely) We’ll have bets for both UFC and Bellator, but we’ll avoid betting the lower level women’s fights at Invicta FC as they’ll be more difficult to predict. All our bets are available on our CapperTek profile and we have already released 3 bets for the weekend including our UFC 184 free betting tip. Oh, by the way, want to get 30 days of our betting tips absolutely free? Just sign up and deposit at Draft Kings via one of the many links on our site. The main event for Bellator 134 will feature a light heavyweight title fight as champion Emanuel Newton defends his title vs the up and coming Liam McGeary. The 31 year old champ, Newton has won 8 of his 9 Bellator fights and is 25-7-1 overall. Liam McGeary is actually the older of the two at 32 years of age, but in terms of his MMA experience, Friday night will be just his 10th career fight and he has won and finished all of his previous 9. This fight has had some pretty dramatic line movement as Newton opened as a 1.63 (-160) favourite and has since flipped to a 2.55 (+155) underdog. We think the public is on the wrong side in this one and the line was closer to fair with Newton as a small favourite. Newton has been beating many of the best light heavyweights in Bellator over the last couple years (besides a split decision loss to Attila Vegh in 2012 which he avenged in 2014). McGeary does also have some impressive wins including his last 3 finishes against Kelly Anunderson, Egidijus Valavicius and Mike Mucitelli, but none of these guys are at the level of Newton and we think there’s a good chance he struggles tomorrow night. Because we think Newton deserves to be favoured, we placed a 1.50 unit bet on him at 2.55 (+155) at BetOnline.
That’s it for our Bellator 134: Newton vs McGeary free betting tip. Purchase our picks on CapperTek to be updated as we release more plays for this weekend’s UFC 184: Rousey vs Zingano.
