UFC Fight Night 62: Maia vs LaFlare is just a few days away and we already posted our free betting tip as well as 2 other tips to our CapperTek profile. Sign up and deposit at Draft Kings to get in on the action. A $5 deposit will get you a 100% first deposit bonus, a free entry to the $25k tourney and 30 days of our betting tips (a $24.95 value) free if you follow these steps. One thing we really liked about Draft Kings previously is the relatively high salaries meant it took a lot of skill to fit a good mix of guys on your team for under $50k. Unfortunately, for UFC Fight Night 62, it seems they have abandoned this strategy in favour of lower salaries that make the game easier overall. The bad thing about this is there’s more luck and less skill involved, especially long term where you would really get paid off for consistently picking strong underdogs.
Must Have Favourites
1. Gilbert Burns – The most expensive favourite on the card is also one of the most likely to win quickly. We already bet the under in this fight in our free betting tip mostly because we think Burns goes out and starches his opponent Alex Oliveira in very short order. Most likely this pick will be worth 100+ points so it’s well worth the $12k salary hit.
2. Amanda Nunes – Nunes is also pretty expensive at $11,700, but she has proven to be a finisher with all 9 of her victories coming inside the distance. Against Baszler, who has lost 7 fights inside the distance, Nunes should have a speed and stength advantage and we don’t think the chances of Baszler surviving to the bell are very high.
1. Drew Dober – He averages over 50 points in his UFC fights so far and is well worth his $9,000 salary. Worst case against Leandro Silva, we see him surviving to a decision. The best case of course is he will get you an early sub and score over 100 points.
2. Leonardo Santos – While not a true underdog, Santos’s salary is slightly under $10,000. In a straight pick ’em, we’d have Santos to win and you’ll have to stay tuned to our CapperTek profile to see if the line movement induces us to make a bet on him. Both Santos and his opponent Tony Martin tend to win most of their fights by submission so this one could end up being a dud if he is submitted quickly.
