UFC Fight Night 64: Gonzaga vs Cro Cop II goes down next Saturday afternoon from Krakow, Poland. Once again it will be a weird start time as the card kicks off at 11:45 AM ET. The fights will also only be shown exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at least in North America. It was a couple events ago at UFC Fight Night 62 when we opted to avoid parlaying any of the fighters because we didn’t have enough strong leans to make a good parlay. We’re in the same boat for UFC Krakow so we’re going to give out a round total bet instead. If you want full access to our bets, they are only available via our CapperTek profile, but our 20.00% plus ROI so far in 2015 would mean you don’t need a very big unit size to make profit on top of paying for our bets. In addition to the UFC event, there are both WSOF and Bellator events which we will also be providing betting tips for so it would be an excellent week to purchase our tips for the first time! We have currently profited in all 4 months of 2015 and we are riding a 3 straight UFC event profit streak. If you want any more info, feel free to look at our track record or CapperTek profile for full details of our betting history!
In the main event in Poland, Gabriel Gonzaga will take on a returning Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic. The 40 year old former professional kickboxer, Cro Cop will be beginning his third UFC run after going 1-2 in his first run and 3-4 in his second run. He actually already fought Gonzaga in the first run, a fight which he lost by head kick KO in the first round. Filipovic’s overall record currently sits at 30-11-2. Gonzaga has been cut from the UFC once himself, but has been slightly better over his UFC career, going 4-3 on his current run and 7-5 in his initial run. Gonzaga’s overall record is 16-9. Gonzaga should have a size advantage in this fight as he tends to weigh in somewhere in the 250s while Mirko Filipovic weighs somewhere in the 220s. In terms of a pick in this fight, we would choose Gonzaga, but with 7 career TKO or KO losses, and at the age of 35, it’s not possible to lay money on him as a favourite. We also can’t really bet Cro Cop as he is now 40 years old and has lost 9 times by TKO or KO across his kickboxing and MMA careers. Where we do think there is value in this fight is on the under 1.5 rounds line. The line is currently barely below even money. In a heavyweight fight between 2 guys who have shown throughout their careers an ability to finish (Filipvoic 27 of 30 in the distance, Gonzaga all 16), and a lack of ability to avoid being finished (Filipovic 8 of 11 in the distance, Gonzaga 7 of 9 inside the distance), the under is definitely the way to go. Add to those stats the fact that both guys are on the wrong side of 35 and we have a solid bet. We placed a 2 unit bet on the under 1.5 rounds at 1.95 (-105) at 5Dimes.
