It’ll be a busy couple weeks for the UFC with UFC 189: McGregor vs Mendes on Saturday, the TUF 21: Ellenberger vs Thompson finale on Sunday, UFC Fight Night 71: Mir vs Duffee Wednesday and UFC Fight Night 72: Bisping vs Leites the following Saturday. We’ll have you covered with a ton of betting tips spread across the 4 events and at least 1 free tip for each event. We’re coming off our best month ever in June where we were up more than 30 units for a return of over 65%! To get the full details of how all our bets went, check out our Track Record or our third party tracked record at CapperTek. You can also get our full betting tips at CapperTek. At a cost of just $24.95 for 30 days, you’d only need to have bet $5 per unit or so on the year to break even after paying membership fees in 2015! Remember to check out our free UFC 189 tip which was released last week as well!
In terms of our free TUF 21 Finale bet, we looked at some parlay options, but we weren’t particularly thrilled. Jorge Masvidal, Michelle Waterson and Russell Doane are the biggest favourites of the card, but none of the three strike us as particularly risk-free parlay legs. Instead of giving a parlay for our free betting tip, we’ll give one of our underdog picks which are usually reserved for our CapperTek members.
In the main event, Jake Ellenberger and Stephen Thompson will do battle. The current line has Thompson as an almost 1.50 (-200) favourite while Ellenberger sits at 2.80 (+180) as the underdog. Jake Ellenberger is 30 years old and 30-9 overall. He is just 2-3 in his last 5, but the two of three losses came to Saturday’s welterweight title fighters in Rory MacDonald and Robbie Lawler. The third loss was to TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum who has looked like a future title contender at many points in his short UFC career so far. Ellenberger has fought and beaten some pretty good competition throughout his UFC career. Stephen Thompson is 10-1 overall so far in his career with a UFC mark of 5-1. The fight against Ellenberger will be a step up in competition for Thompson whose previous best opponent, Matt Brown, defeated him by unanimous decision. Our model favours Ellenberger to win this fight and at 2.80 (+180), a bet makes a lot of sense. He has more experience in big fights, he has faced a higher level of competition and he’s the better overall fighter. We bet 2 units on Jake Ellenberger at 2.80 (+180) at 5Dimes.
That’s it for our TUF 21 Finale: Ellenberger vs Thompson free betting tip! Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for all our latest updates on the busy next couple of weeks! Also remember to get our full bets which are only available via CapperTek.
