UFC Fight Night 71: Mir vs Duffee will go down this Wednesday night in a busy week of UFC action from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. For The Fight Predictor, we’ll be looking to coninue our momentum from June where we profited over 30 units for an ROI of just under 70%. To get on board for all our bets for this and other events, you can sign up at CapperTek. Also on CapperTek, you can see our impressive third party tracked betting track record which includes tracking of all bets since the start of 2015 when we signed up. For a look at our more long term look at our impressive results, take a look at our track record. In terms of our bets for this event, we expect to have 3 underdog plays as well as 1 free parlay which we’ll give out in this post!
Opening up the main card is a welterweight bout between Alan Jouban and Matt Dwyer. Jouban is currently a decent sized favourite at 1.25 (-401) while Dwyer is the underdog at 4.35 (+335). Obviously since we’re looking to do a parlay, we’re going to be on Jouban. Jouban is 32 years old and 11-3 overall. Wednesday will be his fourth Octagon appearance and he is 2-1 in his three appearances so far. Matt Dwyer is 25 years old and 8-2 overall. He will be making his third UFC appearance going 1-1 for the promotion so far. Our model has Jouban as the big favourite in this fight; even moreso than the betting line which is why we decided to make him the first leg of our parlay.
The second leg of this parlay will be Sam Sicilia to win the main event of the prelims where he takes on Yaotzin Meza. Sicilia is 29 years old and 14-5 overall. He has been fighting for the UFC for over 3 years now and is 4-4 overall. He is a powerful striker and also a well versed wrestler with 8 of 14 wins by TKO and 4 of 14 by submission. His opponent, Yaotzin Meza is 34 years old and 21-9-1 overall. He is 2-2-1 in the UFC, but could easily be 2-3 as his third opponent, Chico Camus beat him by unanimous decision, but subsequently failed a drug test. Not only is Meza older and has the worse record of the two, but he also takes this fight on short notice. With all these factors working against him and with Sicilia as not too big a favourite, we think adding Sicilia as the second leg of our parlay is an excellent move. We placed a 2 unit 2 team parlay bet on Jouban and Sicilia at 2.01 (+101) at Bookmaker.
That’s it for our UFC Fight Night 71: Mir vs Duffee free betting tip. We will be looking to add 3 underdog bets throughout the week that will only be available by signing up for CapperTek. Also remember to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for all our latest updates!
