After another profit last weekend, we’re onto the next UFC event which goes down next weekend from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The event will be the fourth that the UFC has held in Tennessee with two previous events in Nashville and one in Memphis. The feature fight of the card will be a relatively important light heavyweight matchup between Ovince St Preux and former title contender Glover Teixeira. We’re looking at having five total bets for the event, one will be free in this post and the other four will be available for purchase via CapperTek. Our 2015 betting history has been third party tracked by CapperTek, but we also have our entire history available in our track record. The Fight Predictor is arguably the best MMA handicapper in the industry, but unquestionably offers the best value of any handicapper out there with an ROI over 15% so far this year and membership fees of just $24.95 per month. If you look at our biggest competitors, one has an ROI of 3% and a membership fee close to $100 per month. The other has a slightly better ROI of just under 7%, but charges an astounding $49.99 per EVENT! From these numbers it is pretty clear who you should go with if you are looking for the best bang for your buck!
The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 73 is a pretty important fight in the UFC’s lightweight division as #5 lightweight Michael Johnson takes on #12 lightweight Beneil Dariush. Johnson is 29 years old and 16-8 overall. He is an Octagon vet with 8 fights for the UFC going 8-4 in them. Interestingly, he was runner up to Jonathan Brookins on TUF 12, but has had way more success than Brookins in the UFC with Brookins being cut in 2012. Since his August, 2013 win over Joe Lauzon, Johnson is on a 4 fight win streak over some pretty good fighters including Edson Barboza, Melvin Guillard and Gleison Tibau. His opponent, Beneil Dariush is 11-1 overall and 5-1 in the Octagon. He is 26 years old and has already fought and won twice in 2015 beating Jim Miller and Daron Cruickshank. The odds on this fight are relatively close with Johnson as the 1.67 (-150) favourite at Bookmaker and Dariush as the 2.38 (+138) underdog at Pinnacle. Our model sees Johnson as the more likely victor in this fight. He has been fighting and winning against the higher level of competition recently and we believe he’ll get the job done on Saturday against Dariush. Therefore, we made Johnson the first leg of our two team free bet parlay.
The second leg of our parlay will be Uriah Hall. Hall takes on Olwale Bamgbose (glad we don’t podcast because no fucking clue how to pronounce that last name), who is making his UFC debut at the age of 27 with a 5-0 record. All of Bamgbose’s wins have been first round TKO’s, which is a good sign that he might try to engage with Hall who should be the far superior striker. Only 2 of Bamgbose’s 5 past opponents have winning records currently and those two fighters sit at 3-2 and 2-1; not particularly great. Can crushing to get a 5-0 record seems to have worked to get Bamgbose signed, but the massive leap in competition he will be making on Saturday is not likely to lead to a very good outcome. Even at his absolute worst, Hall should be able to get a TKO within 2 rounds and he has proven in the past that he can do well against competition that is a lot worse than him, the problem comes when he fights guys who are close to his level. Hall is now 31 years of age and 10-5 overall with a 3-3 record in the Octagon. He has never lived up to the hype he generated while on TUF partially due to his spinning kick knockout of Adam Cella. Regardless, Hall should easily defeat the overmatched Olwale Bamgbose which is why we made him the second leg of our parlay. The bet is 2 units on Johnson to defeat Dariush and Hall to defeat Bamgbose at 2.20 (+120) at Bookmaker.
That’s it for our UFC Fight Night 73: Teixeira vs St Preux free betting tip! We will have three or four more bets posted to our Cappertek profile likely on Thursday night for our paying followers. Remember to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for all our latest updates!
