After a huge weekend of UFC action including 3 cards, 5 title fights, the TUF finals and the return of the beast, Brock Lesnar, UFC Fight Night 91: Lineker vs McDonald doesn’t look the best on paper, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some betting opportunities. The event will be a rare Wednesday evening card and should kick off around 7pm ET on Fight Pass, but the bout order and card placement doesn’t appear to be finalized yet. Across the weekend with 3 events, we suffered a bit of a loss. Our loss at Fight Night 90 and our win at UFC 200 basically cancelled each other out, but the TUF 23 Finale wasn’t a great event for us and left us in the red for the weekend. We’ll be looking to bounce back in the 3 remaining events of July including Fight Night 91, UFC on FOX 20 and UFC 201. To get all our picks for the low price of $9.95, sign up at Cappertek. In the co-main event of Fight Night 91, Tony Ferguson takes on a 2 week late replacement and UFC debutant, Landon Vannata in a lightweight bout. Ferguson is a big favourite in this fight, opening as a 6 to 1 favourite and getting the majority of the bets since then. Ferguson is 32 years old and ranked third in the UFC’s lightweight division. He is 20-3 overall and 9-1 in the Octagon. He enters this fight off the biggest win of his career; a second round submission victory over Edson Barboza. Landon Vannata is 24 years old and holds an undefeated pro record of 8-0. It would be absolutely shocking if Vannata is able to come in and defeat Ferguson on short notice. It’s a tall order for any fighter to get a win against a UFC veteran, let alone one as seasoned as Ferguson. At 7.5 to 1 though, where the line on Ferguson currently sits, we don’t think it makes sense to pull the trigger. Sure, he most likely goes out and starches Vannata with an early TKO or sub, but MMA is too random to put that much stake in any fighter (especially if you want to profit long term). Instead, we decided to play the under in this fight which is 1.5 rounds and pays 1.83 (-120). It’s a 2 unit bet from us.
That’s it for our UFC Fight Night 91: Lineker vs McDonald free betting tip. We’ll be back with UFC on FOX 20 and UFC 201 free bets in the next couple weeks! Looking forward to a continued busy month of July!
