UFC 203: Miocic vs Overeem goes down tomorrow night and we’re here with a free betting tip for what should be a solid night of fights!
In the co-main event at 203, Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum will fight in what is likely to determine the next number 1 contender for the heavyweight belt. Werdum is 39 years old and 20-6-1 overall. His last fight was for the title against Stipe Miocic where he looked like a shell of his former self, losing by TKO in less than 3 minutes. The big question from that fight was has Werdum regressed significantly or is Stipe just that good. Travis Browne is 34 years old and 18-4-1 overall. He also enters the fight off a loss, losing by TKO to former champ Cain Velasquez at UFC 200 in July. The TKO loss was his third career TKO loss, 2 of which have come in the last 18 months including an incredibly violent loss to Andrei Arlovski. The big question with Browne is can he recover properly from his last TKO loss to Velasquez and still be in fight shape on just a month’s notice. In our opinion the best way to play this fight is to bet the under which is reasonably priced right now and protects you from most outcomes. The biggest risk is Werdum beats Browne up for 3 rounds, but is unable to finish the job. The more likely scenarios include Werdum dominating like the last fight, but this time doing enough damage to warrant a TKO or to get a takedown on Browne where he can lock up a sub. The other very possible scenario is Werdum looks as bad as he did against Stipe and Browne is able to TKO him in round 1. Regardless, the under will protect us in that scenario. We placed a 2 unit bet on Browne/Werdum going less than 2.5 rounds at 1.69 (-145) at Bookmaker.
