UFC Fight Night 98: Dos Anjos vs Ferguson Free Betting Tip

Man, it’s been a while since the last UFC event. We had 8 straight weekends with UFC events from August 6 to October 8 before UFC Fight Night 97: Lamas vs Penn was cancelled just before it was scheduled to take place on October 15. Once again though, we go into a marathon of UFC events with a crazy schedule of 10 events in the final 2 months of 2016. Anyway, on to this weekend’s card which features Rafael Dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson in the main event in a fight which could very likely determine the next contender for the lightweight belt after Alvarez and McGregor fight for it at UFC 205 on November 12. We have one free bet for this event which we’ll get to below, but remember to subscribe on Cappertek to get access to all our bets. We currently forecast 7 total bets for the event, but we also at least 3 bets we’re likely to make on Bellator 163: McGeary vs Davis so any package you buy will get you a lot of bets for your dollar!

In the main event of the fight pass card, Sam Alvey takes on Alex Nicholson in a middleweight bout that honestly doesn’t mean much for the future of the division as we don’t really see either of these guys ever contending for a title. Regardless, we do like a side for a bet! Alvey opened around 1.32 (-315), but that line has since dropped to 1.50 (-200). Obviously the line on Nicholson had to move the opposite way as it seems the money has come in on him moving it from 3.35 (+235) to 2.70 (+170). Alvey is the vet in this match up. He is 30 years old and has been fighting in the UFC since August, 2014. It is well known that he is primarily a knockout threat with 4 of his 5 UFC victories coming by TKO or KO. He is 28-8 overall and 5-3 in the UFC. Alex Nicholson is 26 years old and 7-2 in his career. He is 1-1 in the UFC with his lone winning coming over Devin Clark. Sadly, Nicholson is probably best known for a racist remark towards Hyun Gyu Lim when he was cornering Mike Perry in his fight at UFC 202. In this match-up between Alvey and Nicholson, we expect Nicholson will get what’s coming to him when Alvey knocks him unconscious. Quite frankly we were surprised to see the money coming in on Nicholson. He is the prototypical fighter that Alvey can destroy, leaving plenty of countering opportunities where Alvey can land his power counters. We placed a 2 unit bet on Alvey at 1.50 (-200) at 5Dimes.

That’s it for our UFC Fight Night 98: Dos Anjos vs Ferguson free betting tip. Stay tuned as we hope to bring you a free Bellator 163 bet tomorrow night and sign up at Cappertek if you’re interested in tailing all our bets which have been historically very profitable!
