UFC on FOX 24 goes down tomorrow night from Kansas City, Missouri. The main event features Demetrious Johnson defending his flyweight title against Wilson Reis. The undercard is pretty solid too with top middleweight contenders, Robert Whittaker and Jacare Souza doing battle and future women’s strawweight title hopefuls Michelle Waterson and Rose Namajunas in the co-main event. We decided to hang on to most of our bank roll and just watch this one as there weren’t a ton of lines we liked, but to get our single bet for the event, head over to our Cappertek page. This post will detail a couple prop bets we think could cash big!
Johnson vs Reis Over 3.5 Rounds
Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is deservedly a huge favourite against Wilson Reis. We feel like that is keeping the over 3.5 rounds line from going higher as people think the skill advantage is likely to lead to a finish for the champ. Realistically though, Reis is a guy with great cardio who has proven to be very durable in the past. Add to tht the fact that Johnson also has great cardio and is also very durable and you have the makings of a fight that is likely to go long. We didn’t even mention the weight class is flyweight where guys obviously pack less of a punch and are less likely to get a TKO. One of the best prop bets on the card you can make is the main event to go over 3.5 rounds. The line currently sits at 1.61 (-165).
Aljamin Sterling Wins Inside The Distance
This is a great line pretty early on the card. Currently Aljamin Sterling to win inside the distance is at 3.50 (+250). Sterling is a pretty big favourite over Augusto Mendes. Coming off two straight split decision losses though, his stock is probably a little lower than it was previously. Prior to the decision losses he had 3 straight finishes and we think he gets back to finishing against the step down in competition. At the current line, we definitely feel it’s worth a stab.
