UFC on FOX 24 goes down tomorrow night from Kansas City, Missouri. The main event features Demetrious Johnson defending his flyweight title against Wilson Reis. The undercard is pretty solid too with top middleweight contenders, Robert Whittaker and Jacare Souza doing battle and future women’s strawweight title hopefuls Michelle Waterson and Rose Namajunas in the co-main event. We decided to hang on to most of our bank roll and just watch this one as there weren’t a ton of lines we liked, but to get our single bet for the event, head over to our Cappertek page. This post will detail a couple prop bets we think could cash big!
UFC 210: Cormier vs Johnson II is just a week away and we’re pumped! Coming off a 3 week break always makes a card feel extra special. Even more so when it’s a pay-per view featuring a great title defense in the main event! In terms of our bets, we’re coming off a profit of more than 10 units in a clean sweep at the UFC London card and we’ll be looking to add to that on Saturday night. You can tail all our bets for just $9.95 by signing up on our Cappertek profile.
Cormier/Johnson – Under 1.5 Rounds
In their first meeting, Rumble managed to rock Cormier early. As one of the most powerful men in the UFC, Johnson tends to do this to a lot of his opponents. What Johnson is not known for is good cardio. If he is going to win, it is almost certainly a TKO and it is almost certainly early. You could bet Johnson to win by TKO which pays 2.33 (+133), but I’d prefer the protection offered by the under 1.5 rounds which sits at a similar line of 2.30 (+130). Basically betting the under 1.5 rounds instead of the Johnson by TKO prop comes down to the fact that for basically the same line we get protection against a Cormier finish early and we only give up a late TKO by Johnson which we see as pretty unlikely anyway given his past cardio issues.
UFC 209: Woodley vs Thompson II goes down tonight. The main event fight between Woodley and Thompson is a rematch of their epic draw at UFC 205 in November. The card lost a lot of its lustre after Khabib Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw after being taken to hospital during his weight cut for an interim lightweight title bout against Tony Ferguso (who we actually had a bet on), but it is still a pretty solid pay-per-view card albeit a bit top heavy. From a betting perspective, this card is awesome! We have a total of 5 bets risking 17 units. 4 of those 5 bets are our most confident 4 unit plays and you can get them for just $9.95 at Cappertek.
UFC Fight Night 104 goes down tonight from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The lone fight pass prelim kicks off at 6:30 pm while the televised prelims start at 7 and the main card starts at 9. In total, we have 4 bets on the crd and we’re risking 14 units. We’ll give away one of those bets here, but the rest are available at cappertek for just $9.95.
UFC on FOX 23: Shevchenko vs Pena goes down tomorrow night in prime time from Denver, Colorado. Featuring a bantamweight bout between Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Pena which should determine the next challenger for Amanda Nunes title. Also on the card in the co-main event slot is a welterweight fight between two former lightweights, Donald Cerrone and Jorge Masvidal. In terms of bets for the card, we currently have 6 bets up for 20 units and we don’t have any plans to add more. If you want access to our full slate of bets you can get em for just $9.95 at Cappertek. We’ll be looking for a bounce back event after losing our first 3 bets of 2017. As anyone who bets MMA knows though, the short term variance is crazy and it’s the long run that really counts!
